August 4, 2008: Kingston, Ontario

We are at docked in Confederation Basin which is run by the city of Kingston. It is a huge marina and offers over 100 transient slips for visiting boaters. Tom walked his bike off the boat and said his tripmeter said .2 mile over the maze of piers to the shore.

Imagine ... there is a boat here from Belhaven, NC on the Pamlico Sound. Actually, the people live in Belhaven, at least in the winter, but leave their boat here year round. Wow!

A day in port... charging our batteries... working... washing clothes... fixing the anchor motor... buying a new fender... and bread and corn on the cob for dinner. We did get to go to the movies to see my choice – Mama Mia.
